Private AI · Installed and looked after
Your home, run by text. Your data, kept at home.
A private AI on its own computer in your house, connected to your lights, locks, heat, calendars and email. Text it from the app you already use. We install it, set it up and look after it.
What it does
One assistant for the house and everyone in it.
It learns your home, your routines and your family's schedule, and handles the small things before anyone has to ask twice.
01
Runs the house
Lights, locks, heat, shades, cameras, pool and garage working together, instead of in six separate apps.
“Is the garage closed? Turn off the pool heater.”
02
Keeps the family on schedule
Shared calendars, pickups, appointments and reminders, with a profile for each person in the household.
“Remind Sam about the dentist on Thursday.”
03
Clears the inbox
Summarizes what came in, drafts replies and tracks deliveries. Nothing goes out without your OK.
“Anything from the school today?”
04
Routines that run themselves
Arriving, leaving, bedtime, vacation and storm prep, set up once around how your family actually lives.
“We're away until Sunday.”
05
Works for the whole staff
Limited access for house managers, caretakers and guests, so they can do their jobs without seeing everything.
“Let the cleaners in at 10 on Tuesday.”
06
Watches the house while you're away
A text when a door is left open, a leak sensor trips or the power goes out.
“Back door has been open 20 minutes. Close it?”
Privacy
What happens in the house stays in the house.
Most smart assistants send everything you say to a large company's servers. Kotoh Home runs its AI on a computer that sits in your home and belongs to you.
i.
The AI runs locally
Requests, schedules and household details are processed on your own hardware, not by a cloud AI service.
ii.
You own it
Hardware and accounts are in your name. We never sell your data or use it to train anything.
iii.
Locks wait for your OK
Doors, garage and alarm changes ask for confirmation unless you tell us otherwise.
iv.
A separate network
Smart devices live on their own network, apart from your computers and phones.
v.
You can pull the plug
Unplug it and it stops. Your lights and locks keep working on their own.
Messages travel through the service you choose, such as iMessage or WhatsApp, with their own encryption. Email and calendars stay with their providers. At your walk-through we go through exactly what connects to what. More in our guide to local vs cloud AI assistants.

Do I need to buy new smart devices?
Usually not. The hub works with most major brands, including devices you already use with Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa. At the walk-through we'll check what you have and point out any gaps.
How is this different from Alexa or Siri?
Those send your requests to the company's servers and handle one command at a time. Kotoh Home runs on hardware in your house, remembers your household's routines and preferences, and can handle a whole request like "get the house ready" across many devices and calendars at once.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The AI and your home's devices keep working inside the house. Texting it from outside needs an internet connection, so you'll get your messages once the connection is back.
Who can see my information?
You and the people you give access to. We only access the system to maintain it, with your permission, and you can revoke that access at any time.
Can it do things without asking?
Only what you allow. Routine tasks like lights and reminders can run on their own; locks, the alarm and sending email ask first unless you choose otherwise.
Do you work outside these areas?
Our installs are in eastern Long Island and the Miami area right now. For other locations, ask us. Larger Estate projects may be possible elsewhere.
